Susan Rothschild, CPA, is a staff accountant for the John T. Straub, CPA firm in St. Louis, Missouri. She is responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals and compiling the accounting records and preparing tax returns for business clients. She joined the firm after receiving a Master of Accounting from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1993.
Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (magna cum laude) in 1974 from the University of Missouri-Rolla. She worked for 14 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in the engineering department. She has also served as vice president of Sandy Rothschild and Associates, Inc., a property tax consulting firm in St. Louis.Susan has served in a number of community and volunteer organizations. She is currently the president of the Miner Alumni Association (2010-2012), serves on the Missouri S&T Board of Trustees, is a member of the system-wide Alumni Alliance and a member of the UMSL Alumni Association. She is Treasurer of the Richmond Heights Library Board and Treasurer of Grace United Methodist Church. She has in the past served as the president of the Women’s Political Caucus-St. Louis, editor of The Times of Skinker-DeBaliviere, and assistant to the treasurer of the Parkview Board of Agents. Susan and her husband Sandy have been active donors to Planned Parenthood of Eastern Missouri, the St. Louis Children’s Advocacy Center, and numerous political campaigns. They enjoy traveling and are 28 year season ticket holders with the S. Louis Blues. Susan is an avid quilter who especially enjoys making quilts in the college colors for young friends going off to school.
