Susan Watson-Hajjar is vice president of TeleWeb transformation at International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation. She is responsible for ibm's corporate web sites and online commerce. She joined IBM in 1983 as a programmer in S390 mainframe hardware development. She held a variety of technical and leadership assignments in this area, including microcode development and test, customer relationships with early adopters of the new S/390 hardware, systems management and software planning. She spent time as a development programmer manager for AIX development and test, responsible for software development and release management of over three million lines of code in IBM's UNIX offering. Customer satisfaction for the newly introduced Parallel Sysplex product was also her responsibility.
In 1997, she was appointed executive assistant to the general manager of the network and personal computer division. In this assignment, she provided leadership in IBM's development of network computers and assisted in building the overall network computing strategy within IBM.
