About Aaron Cook

Aaron will retire in December, 2017 from the Bass Companies of Fort Worth as Chief Information Officer.   In this capacity he oversees all Technology to support operating companies in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Real Estate and Financial Services Industries.  Aaron joined the Bass Family in 1985 as a programmer for the Bass Family Trading Group.  His responsibilities grew as The Bass Companies use of technology evolved.

Aaron graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) with a BS in Computer Science with emphasis in Operations Research in 1977.  After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Brenda, and went to work for Conoco in Houston and Ponca City, OK for a year each.  Then they moved to Kansas City for a year (working for Armco Steel) and then to Fort Worth in 1981 where he was employed by Champlin Petroleum Company.  Aaron earned an MBA from the McNeely School of Business at Texas Christian University In 1984.  In 2001 he received a Professional Degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Aaron has actively served on the Board of Directors for Fort Worth Youth Soccer Association, the Child Study Center of Fort Worth and Tarrant County College Foundation.   Aaron and Brenda established the Howard and Lois Cook Computer Science Scholarship at his alma mater to honor his parents and the Betty J Davis Education Scholarship at Tarrant County College to honor her Mother.

Aaron and Brenda have three grown children and two grandsons.  Aaron enjoys golf, snow skiing and hiking in Colorado.
